Architect Life: a house design simulator is a casual architect simulator where the player can design houses on their desk before building and visiting them. The project feature a career mode that allows the player to manage grow their own architect agency by designing house for their clients. I also features a free mode where the player can use the game's tools freely.
I joined Shine Digital on this project as its only game designer and the end of pre-production. My first task was to bring the current design documentation up to date and expand it with the career mode that was left on the side at this time.
During production, my work revolved around different main subjects:

- Level Design: I set up a level methodology that then allowed me to design the 60 levels of the career mode and implement into Unreal Engine using house-made tools.

- Iteration: I organized regular playtests with the rest of the team to test the balancing and difficulty of the levels. These playtests also allowed to obtain data on how intuitive and useful were each game mechanic. Therefore I was able to work on the game's tools, mechanics, UX and levels simultaneously.

- Global communication: As the only game designer in the team, I had to communicate the game's design to the team, through meetings and written documentation, but also take their feedback and ideas into account during the production. I also took part in the communication with the editor of the game, Nacon, owner of the "Life" franchise. My work had to integrate their requirements to conform to their vision.
